Hitmen or assassins

Can anyone recommend me any U.S. or HK movies about hitmen or assassins.

The only movie about asssassins I have seen was Leon the professional.

Assassins, of course, with Antonio Banderas. Not particularly impressive, but done by the Wachowskis.

(You could make an argument about all three Godfather films).

My favorite assassin movie is Jarmush's Ghost Dog with Forrest Whitaker.

Amores Perros has one story arc about a hitman. The Boondock Saints has a lot of assassinations, but its by vigilantes against Bad Guys™.

Lots of good HK movies about assassins:

Fulltime Killer
The Longest Nite
The Killer
2000 AD
Fallen Angels
Beyond Hyperthermia
Black Mask
A Hero Never Dies
Jiang Hu The Triad Zone (not really an assassin movie, but a really great gangster satire with assassins)

and of course

The Mission

Clear and Present Danger is not soley about Assasins, but the scene where John Clark (Willem Dafoe) recruits Chavez from Sniper school is one of my favorites. No spoilers, but the two use there skills very well in the jungles.

And you gotta love The Replacement Killers

as other have said, Ghost Dog is really good.

errrrr The Specialist staring Sylvester Stallone is about an assassins who kills with bombs. Not really a good film BUT if you watch it before you see some of the others, those other films will seem that much better! hehe

I've always liked the Big HIt, and it can be picked up for cheap on DVD.
