I found it pretty boring, it's just strange it did so well.
I would have rather seen About A Boy become the years sleeper hit (Despite it not being low budget), but oh well.
A few solid laughs, but otherwise a big fat bore. Wait for it to show on cable, if anything.

It was a fantasy every girl wants. Some sensitive, intelligent guy who just walks into their life, thinks they're beautiful (even though they're not), and is simply just perfect; even changing his religion for her sake. Only problem was the family. The comedy was more sitcom standard, and you're right. About A Boy was a far better comedy.
