Bond films... will it ever end?

007 movies have become so much a part of society that I don't see them ending anytime soon. I really don't see why they would want them to end (as long as they make profit). How many Bond films do you think they'll make in total, do you think they'll keep the series alive for another 50+ years?

And when they do decide to make the last 007, how do you think it'll end?

If they keep coming up with interesting stories so people will watch, I don't see why it needs to end. But if it does end, I think the story will end with Bond defeating some tough villain who is bent on world conquest, and Bond retiring to some tropical island with a hot chick.

I highly doubt these Bond films will end. When Brosnan gets old or decides to stop making these films they'll just get someone else to replace him.Just like the FT13TH movies. They never end.

I don't want them to stop. I don't understand why everyone is so adament about trashing these movies. If you don't like them then don't watch them.

I for one, enjoy the movies. I like the old ones a little bit better, but that's just becuase I have those special rose tinted glasses on.

I mean lets face it guys, there are lots of action movies that if you named the main character James Bond, and put the cool theme music to it, it could be a Bond movie. Some people just see the word Bond and it automatically has a bad name.... why that is true, I have no idea. The movies, in my opinion, have always been well made, and have not deviated from the original plot. Bond movies are just pure fun, enjoyable, and witty. I'll definitly continue to watch them until the powers that be decide that they've had enough.

There will always be Bond movies because none of them are bad and they never will. I don't care what you say

As long as they pick a good Bond I hope they never stop. Please, no more Timothy Daltons.

Licence to Kill

I haven't enjoyed a Bond film in quite a few years and I think Goldeneye is the last one that I saw, but I don't really care one way of the other if they keep making them or not. So long as they keep making money, let them have at it.

Just watch The Rock as if it were a Bond movie and you've got my answer for the perfect final movie.

Never going to happen!

The formula is gold....

Action, Guns, Cars, Girls (TnA), Bond theme, gadgets, sexual inuendos

How can you go wrong?

Bond will be around for another 40+ years! Maybe Bond movies will end in the future if guys become too feminine and sensitive for them...

Personally, I hope the next guy who plays Bond is MORE like Dalton.

Dalton played Bond true to Ian Fleming's original character, and that's why I loved him in the role. He has class, but he has a killer edge to him - perfect for the part of an assasin (which is basically what a 00 is - license to kill and all).

Bond just seems to get involved in bigger, more outlandish cases than most government agents.

But, more on topic, if they have 2 or 3 Bond films in a row that do poor box office numbers then the series will stop. For a while. Then after a 6 or 8 year break they'll get a new Bond and start it up again.

I HOPE THEY CONTINUE TO MAKE MORE BOND FILMS ,,,,, i only hope they will rethink the BOND-FORMULA

i just saw the newest one .... it was a great film ....but it was way to predictable

bond ..... fancy car, kool watch, walther gun, martini shaken not stirred

and lets not forget ...... two women...... one aids him, one tries to kill him ...... ALWAYS THE SAME

i would like to see a little change up now and again

well, i havent been too keen on the recent brosnan bonds, with the obvious exception of Goldeneye (the best bond imo) but i see a problem as the series becomes more and more like "xXx". it needs more than "hot chicks" and "cool toys" and big explosions.
