Ray, your arguement holds true for an example on why the studio's can't really adapt to the software like the record companies could. Why? You can't stream that good quality yet with the speeds. but you can get a good little piece to listen to.

It's not a matter of size for someone to save and then burn. Sure the tools are expensive, but considering they are inexpensive and open to the larger markets in other places (U.S. has a lot of limits on what technology the general public could get at there local store where as other countries don't ristrict it as much) So a pack of blank dvd-r's are expensive here, cheap versions could be found overseas and used. Making it not to much of a pricey thing to do if you are going to be bootlegging. And when it comes down to it, if you buy a lot you can get a pretty decent deal on them.

Now studios really can't do anything where you can preview the movie other then what they are already doing... trailers viewable online. thats the best means of advertising online if you ask me. the file is big enough for decent quality and small enough to download without wasting to much time.

calhoun07, I agree with you, I was just trying to explain where Lucas was coming from, as lot of people just assumed he was talking about the OT boots.

I also re-read the article and hardly any quotes are atributed to him.

So I went to theforce.net and found another article, and it doesn't mention him as someone who's pissed off about bootlegs like many of us assumed from the first article.
