I liked Showtime, and I like Owen Wilson so I think I will actually check this out.

No doubt! If Eddie's back, I'd hate to see if he wasn't......

They rate based on reviews that include both the mainstream critics as well as alternative media reviewers, and include links to the full reviews - great site!

If one or two reviewers say a movie sucks you may still not be convinced. If fifty say it sucks chances are they're right.....

Wow...what a forgettable movie! I saw the 12:30 matinee and now, thinking back, can only think of one part that stands out... Eddie was good but not doing anything really new...he really hasn't done anything absolutely brilliant since his turn in BOWFINGER... Owen is great, but you can see him and Murphy struggling with the mediocre material... I'd save this one for a rental...

I saw the movie too at 1 pm, and must say that it was better than expected. There were some laughs, a pretty decent car chase, and some good exotic locales (even though we've seen Europe so many times before). Think of this as a Bond-lite. Better than your average buddy flick (like Showtime) but not as good as Lethal Weapon or Rush Hour. Eddie's ok, and Owen's awesome.
And if it helps, I would say this is the most entertaining (and funniest) Eddie Murphy movie since The Nutty Professor 1 and (before that) Boomerang.

seriously, medicore reviews aside, this was a great freakin movie
eddie and owen were hilarous, and i hope they make a squel , it was kinda hokey at times, but hte sewer scene and the making love part had me in tears, that was worth $5.50 imho

Re: I-Spy - Eddie Murphys Back!
I ended up seeing this film this evening. I never thought that there was a buddy "spy" comedy of Eddie Murphy and Owen Wilson.

I saw this back around 2008 and had been waiting for someone to bump it. I didn't want to be THAT guy.
So, my long awaited review has arrived..........

Who doesn't love I-Spy? It's like I love it so much that I've actually blocked the whole movie from my brain. That way, when I watch it again, I can laugh at the crazy subpar antics of Wilson and Murphy all over again! Oh, I-Spy!!

I like these old threads, when I replied to them. It's always fun to see what I had to say something about a movie 10+ years ago.
That said, this thread sucks.
