Jackie Chan is Rush Hour 2
Kris Tucker in Rush Hour 2... They should've got Sammo Hung and Gary Coleman for the role instead

Al Pacino - Scarface
Bob Deniro - Goodfellas/Casino
Jodie Foster - Silence of the labs
Sam Jackson - Pulp Fiction
Jar Jar as himself - Ep1/2

Fifth Element is an incredible and original movie, but Zues and Chris Tucker were mistakes. They should make a prequel explaining how in the heck Zues got elected world leader.

Clooney playing any kind of superhero, it doesn't work.

Meg Ryan in Proof of Life

Meg Ryan - Proof of Life. Major miscast, Meg stay with you comic talents. I will admit she rebounded in Kate & Leopold......

i agree with Joan Allen in Face/Off, and Sofia Coppola in The Godfather 3.
And my own 2 cents? Jim Carrey as The Riddler in Batman 3 - not so much a miscast, but such a waste considering how good he could have been....

personally, i think both of the tim burton movies were very well cast. i suppose the whole list of villains, save maybe mr. freeze were acceptable. i enjoyed tommy lee jones' perf.

i don't see how jim carrey underutilized his talents. i mean, should he have bent over and talked out of his *ss?

I heard a lot of people rumbling about the following at the time the movie was released (friends, co-workers and on the internet), but Diane Lane seemed to be horribly miscast as Donnie Wahlberg's girlfriend in "The Perfect Storm". Not that she's a bad actress (she isn't) or not hot (she IS), she just looked way too old to play his girlfriend. And she's only six years older in real life. My one (female) friend kept saying "You go Diane, landing a guy 10 years younger!".

BTW, I thought "The Perfect Storm" was one of the worst movies ever made. I'm not defending it or anyone in it. Just that Diane was not a good choice for her role.

I don't think anyone here is bashing the movie "Goldmember".
Just that woman (Beyonce) who is in it. From the scenes I've
seen, she was awful. I seriously doubt I have to watch the
entire movie to change my opinion. And it doesn't help that I
can't stand her in the first place.

right, but you are sorta judging the movie. as this is about the worst casting job, you are presupposing that her role - which as of yet you hardly know anything about - could have been better played by hayden christensen or anyone else with a pulse. you've taken her role out of context.

if i showed you a scene of jodie foster running around in the forest, staring at some girl, goofing a fbi raid test, and looking at marked up clothes, you could probably say to yourself "wow, she sucks." but how did she turn out in sotl?

you're free to bash her, i just think it'd be more credible if you saw her act. in context. i'm almost certain you've seen way too little.

Have you never seen a James Bond movie? There is a long tradition of casting Bond Girls who are pure eye candy with little to no talent.

Besides, in the James Bond universe, Denise Richards is exactly what a nuclear scientist would look like.

No need to over analyze. I'm not judging the movie at all. And I never said anyone else in the role (with or without a pulse) would be better. Although how could they not be? I merely said based on what I saw, I thought she sucked. I doubt her screen time clocks in more than a few minutes. So I'm sure I don't need to see here entire "performance" to get a better idea. And comparing this woman to Jodie Foster, whether it's a brief scene or not, please tell me you're kidding.

i thought my comparison was fair. take a generally accepted "good performance" (i quote for those who may disagree) like that and take it out of context and you too can think jodie in sotl was a terrible choice.

i'm fairly certain beyonce is the female lead in this movie, with heather graham only cameoing. so she should be getting some major on-screen time in this.

this is the same thing as bashing hayden christensen before ep. 2 came out. ya just can't give a fair assessment of a role until you've seen it. don't you agree? how is bashing the casting before the movie is out not the same thing as bashing the movie before its out?

Sigh. For the last time, I hope, I'm not bashing the movie. I'm bashing the choice to cast a SINGER in the movie. Who, based on what I've seen, has zero screen appeal and is about wooden as you get. Clearly they only cast this woman because she's in a hot R&B group. And a lot of people find her attractive.

"What an AWFUL choice!" I said, "he's all old and scruffy."

"What are you talking about?" my friends said.

Turns out, I was thinking of Nick Nolte.

Adam Sandler in Mr. Deeds

MR. DEEDS GOES TO TOWN (1936) can't be improved in any way, shape or form. From what i've seen of the new version the comedy is that someone could create such junk from a true classic. Sandler as a modern Gary Cooper....................Maybe that's the joke of them all.

BTW: Winona Ryder playing Jean Arthur's role. Ryder couldn't shine Arthur's shoes let alone play her role.

Brian Dennehy? A wise old surfer?

One question: Is he naked to the waist at least? Yes?

grunter quickly makes a note in his notebook to run out and BUY Dish Dogs.

No, but he does wear one horrifyingly tight wetsuit, the image of which will be indelibly burned into your memory for years to come.

Any film with Kevin Costner aside from JFK. I recently re-watched him in Untouchables and Dances with Wolves and can honestly say he just plain sucks!!! Worst Wyatt Earp I ever saw as well.

That said, Richard Gere as Sir Lancelot...
