I love this movie. Two summers ago, my cousin (12 years old) got the DVD and she kept watching it all day, everyday. Best summer ever.

Anyway...Bring It On is one of my favorite blind buys...I'm kinda itching to see it again, having just watched Not Another Teen Movie's (weak) parody of it.

Are you saying some stuff had to be cut from the movie to earn it a PG-13 rating?

I've only seen the movie on USA, and the way I recall that line was something like "She doesn't give lip." "No, only tongue!"
I guess I better buy the DVD now to get the full story.

When (most) people look through my dvd colletion (of almost 400) the only disc that they ever comment on is Bring It On. They never ask about titles like Stalker, the Herzog/Kinski collection, Shaolin Soccer, or the many obscure Criterions that they obviously have never heard of. But they alway have to point out Bring It On. I guess it may sort of "stick out" among my other dvds.
They'll say something along the lines of: "you own Bring It On?" in a real condesending manner that makes me want to punch them in the face - the worst part of it is that these people have never even seen BIO. They just have some preconcieved notion that it's a lame teenager movie and they judge me by it. They make absolutely no judgement based on all my Buenel, Felini and Kurosawa films, but they sure do with Bring It On.
Anyways, I'll usually just say that it's a great fun little flick and that I'm not here to *****in' impress them.

"tounge" was supposed to be "head".

Y'know, that is pretty stupid of the MPAA. I could go into a rant about how you can show Wolverine stabbing people in the chest and still get a PG-13, yet "head" is "Under 17 not allowed!" material....
...but I'll just say I'm buying the Bring It On DVD anyway.

You know, I have an absolute favorite part of this movie, Bring It On, but I'm too damned embarassed to say which part it is.

I think it's already been mentioned, but if I had to pick a fave and didn't wanna go with the stock response "every scene Eliza is in," I'd pick the toothbrushing scene. The projectile vomit was cool as well.
C'mon already, what's yours?

aww...you can share..we all like the movie.
We promise not to laugh.
My typical response would be "car wash scene" or "anything with Kirsten" but i kinda like the Toothbrushing scene as well.

I absolutely love this flick. Just watched it again the other day. And even though the sole reason I went and saw it in the theatres was cause of Faith, oops, Eliza, I'd have to say my favorite scene is Gabrielle Union at the end when the cast is lip synching "Mickey" - it's hot!

When I saw the trailer for this movie it did not interest me that much. And I love cheerleaders. Then when the DVD came there was all this discussion about what fun, sexy movie this was and how nice the DVD edition turned out to be. I ended up buying it and loving this movie. That kind of discovery is what makes this site so valuable.

There's a scene in this movie where Kirsten and Eliza are practicing their "spirit fingers" and after leaving the scene for a bit Eliza returns and gyrates her hips in about thirty some odd directions. Great scene in movie history!
