It also helps when every girl in the movie is pretty freakin hot - especially that Whitney chick.

She had way too much make-up on...

then again, i cant fault the director because that aspect is quite realistic.

This movie always reminds me of how sad and pathetic my high schools cheerleaders were.

Perhaps because they are so COOL???
Other than that I don't think it is supposed to make that much sense...
Very fun movie though. Somebody please tell me the cheerleaders are over 18 or something so I can feel a bit less guilty the next time I watch it...

I just got my hands on a promotional clip of Bring It On from a peer-to-peer software. And it's Eliza Dushku performing a super sexy dance singing..."I'm sexy, I'm cute, I'm popular to boot, I'm bitchin', great hair, the boys all love to stare, I'm wanted, I'm hot, I'm everything you're not!". The file is almost 40Megs but is only about 10 seconds long though :(

Deadpool 05-20-02 01:44 PM

My favorite line?

"Maybe we should join the squad?"

"***!"

I don't mean to offend anyone by this comment, but I was in tears when this exchange took place .

I would imagine they they were. I know that the main stars were 18 or over that when it was released.

But the supporting female actors....not sure. :D

I heard somewhere (I believe it was on the commentary track) that only Kirsten Dunst was of actual "high school age" (17) when it was filming.

Makes sense, i guess my math was off. :)

I believe Whitney's little sister and that little girl at the cheerleading competition were also under 18. -ptth-

You remember the little girl, the one Courtney wanted to beat down.

joeydaninja 08-15-02 04:35 AM

bump :)

Draven 08-15-02 09:57 AM

Favorite line(s):

"You're being a cheer-tator Torrance and a pain in my a$$."

"Do I look like a milkmaid? Cause somebody feels like a cow!"

And when Kirsten Dunst's little brother vaults off the kitchen counter and farts on her. Now THAT'S comedy :D

This is like the third One and Only Bring It On thread. :) The first had to be closed for length. Great flick that I haven't watched in a while. It's crazy how many DVD Talkers love this movie.
