Posting a thank you to krs10 and highper for their donation. Loved the pics (having doll dreams / somewhat titilated and disturbed :D) and looking forward to more adventures.

Blade and immortal_zeus those are some wicked pictures.

Gus arrived a few weeks ago but he was shy and didn't want his picture on the internet. It's taken me a while to convince him that it's ok, so here he is!

Here is Gus and his adoption certificate. I'm so proud *sniff*

Thanks to Preacher for hosting the pictures!

Blade and zeus, your pictures make me miss Hawaii. It's been 7 long years. Man, did I love my vacation out there. Great pics!

The pic with the X and arrow, where is that? What part of the island?

Wait, how close is it to the "toilet bowl"? I ask because I have a great photo of myself standing next to a sign that is between Hanauma Bay and the toilet bowl that looks just like the one you guys posted. When I saw your photo, I was like, whoa, I know that sign! But I'm sure there's more than one of them around O'ahu. ;)

It's a little past the toilet bowl. Yes, those signs are everywhere. :D

Yeah, the Toilet Bowl is in Hanauma Bay, which is just before where I'm standing on the rocks. The arrow on the picture is pointing towards Toilet Bowl too.

jhko,

"hide and seek"

Ok, I was out in Burbank last week... going out again today... doing some field work and Razzmatazz wanted to join me, so here we go:

Razz puts on the crappy orange vest, grabs a clipboard and a measuring wheel, and off we go!
http://www.csupomona.edu/~clmartinell/Worker01.jpg

Razz with the wheel...
http://www.csupomona.edu/~clmartinell/Worker03.jpg

Razz decided that he was too small to properly use the wheel, so he decided to just take notes... he wanted to use himself, but I wouldn't let him!
http://www.csupomona.edu/~clmartinell/Worker02.jpg

After work we headed over to Hollywood to visit one of the greatest music stores ever! Amoeba Music!
http://www.csupomona.edu/~clmartinell/Amoeba02.jpg

We tried selling some albums... they gave me $6 for about 10 of the 166 that I had with me. :(

Sockmonkey 09-09-03 02:49 PM

Well, Burnt Orange (though she prefers to be called Orange Brűlé -rolleyes-) arrived late last week.
Unfortunately, we've had a very busy few days and haven't given the little darling the attention she deserves.
Hopefully sometime this week I can participate in Bring Your Crayon To Work Day and get some pictures taken.

Crayon #3

So Crayon #3, tho he's trying to rehabilitate from his surgery, really wanted to have his picture up with his brothers & sisters. I can't let him out of the apartment yet because he's still pretty gimpy. He's stubborn tho so to appease his needs, I took some quick pics with the webcam.

<table width=750 cellspacing=5 cellpadding=5 border=0><tr><td>Here he is.. sleeping on my keyboard.<br>http://www.mreembroidery.com/aaron/crayon3-1.jpg</td><td>Such a manly crayon, loves showing off his scars.<br>http://www.mreembroidery.com/aaron/crayon3-2.jpg</td></tr><tr><td>Here he is reading about all his brothers and sisters on DVDTalk.<br>http://www.mreembroidery.com/aaron/crayon3-3.jpg</td><td>Since he's cooped up all day, he's been watching movies. Here, I got him hooked on my favorite - JAWS.<br>http://www.mreembroidery.com/aaron/crayon3-4.jpg</td></tr><tr><td>
Then as I got up to get some water, I came back to see him re-enacting a scene.<br>http://www.mreembroidery.com/aaron/crayon3-5.jpg</td></tr></table>

I had to scold him after that, for fear he'd hurt himself so soon after such a traumatic operation. If he's good, he can come to photography class this weekend, then maybe to the fair.

Trigger 09-10-03 11:25 AM

Ok - well I've had my crayon for awhile, but haven't taken him anywhere... I thought I had better post a pic so you know he got here safe. Crayon #1 is healthy and very photogenic. I will take him with me somewhere - soon. For now, here's a pic of him hanging out with the cactus that's growing on the roof of my house.

Preacher 09-10-03 11:42 AM

Trigger don't feel so bad we have been out of camera for 2 months and have yet to take a picture. Ye gads.

Glad to see the crayon fine. ;) That is a hell of a cactus. You live in a weird lookin' state.

We're going to have to have another Hawaii Otter Meet soon because Blade wants to see what female Hawaiian Otters look like....even though he's married. :p

I had planned on taking pics of #4 while I was doing Exchange upgrades in Ohio. Sadly, the upgrade process COMPLETELY SUCKS and I am averaging 16 hour days. I am pretty sure I have the next two days free before hitting the trenches again on Saturday. I'll get some pics taken and posted.

On the plus side, I am now an absolute expert on Exchange 2000 connectivity if anyone has any questions.

 Yes, but is it necessary to make me look like I'm trying to cheat on my wife?

You made Laser Lemon sad!

 Nice porno mustache that Laser Lemon is sporting.

I didn't think I was making it look like you were trying to cheat on your wife. :p I was just saying that even though you were married, you were curious to see what the female Otters looked like. Sorry if you interpreted anything different. Get your mind outta the gutter.

You know, that's not exactly a big secret anyway -ptth-, and I was an Admin before. ;)

Besides, I think we've taken the Crayon thread far enough off topic as it is.

Thank you.

twikoff 09-11-03 05:19 PM

ummmm
my first pictures are still on my camera
havent had time to think, must less take better pictures yet

one of these days Ill have free time again.....
until then.. :(

TheHistorian 09-11-03 05:44 PM

I'm really happy to hear that all of you are having such good times with your crayons.

But let me tell you, sepia is a bitch!

I tried to get her to pose, but she said the setting wasn't "artistic" enough.

I tried to reason with her, by showing her some of the other photos. I quote: "Lavender is a slut."

Eventually she just said to me, "It's like Linda Evangelista said." My blank stare forced her to continue, "I don't get out of bed for less than $10,000 a day."

Models!

Anyway, I finally got her out to Sedona and thought I was doing well. Then she starts directing me! "There needs to be a cool car. Wash out the color so I'm still the highlight. Do a test shot at each location." I really wanted to just leave her out there in the sun with her precious bottle of Voss, but I pressed on, for the good of the project.

Test shot #1:

Sepia pose #1:

http://www.gweep.net/~rubin/misc/crayon/P9050012.JPG

Test shot #2:

http://www.gweep.net/~rubin/misc/crayon/P9050013.JPG

Sepia pose #2:

http://www.gweep.net/~rubin/misc/crayon/P9050014.JPG

Test shot #3:

http://www.gweep.net/~rubin/misc/crayon/P9050020.JPG

Sepia pose #3: (finally got her to agree to color!)

http://www.gweep.net/~rubin/misc/crayon/P9050021.JPG

Anyway, I'm not optimistic that I'll be able to stand another photo shoot. We'll see.

(Mods - if the pics are too big, let me know and I'll convert them to links)

Preacher 09-11-03 07:20 PM

If we do a book, I think TheHistorian just got the cover. ****ing gorgeous pictures.
