Check Out This eBay Seller Part Deux: The Crayons Strike Back!
were there any oddballs that asked questions about the crayons?
You mean other than all the oddballs that bid on them?
"A steal at this price. I sent the seller an extra $50 in good conscience."

Thanks a lot for all the great laughs everyone. I haven't laughed this much in years!

Looking @ an auction for $266 crayons is crazy in itself, however KNOWING THE WHOLE STORY, WOW!?
Can't believe I missed both threads, you guys had me in tears, especially in the first thread when philosophyshop's other purchases came to light. Classic.
people actually come along new.. and read all 30 or 40 pages of these two threads!

SPINAL TAP DRUMSTICK!
EXTREMELY RARE ACTUAL STICK USED IN TAP NYC SHOW!!!
| |
This is a RARE SPINAL TAP DRUMSTICK from the legendary band's 1992 BREAK LIKE THE WIND tour! Spinal Tap, famous for the film THIS IS SPINAL TAP and for being the world's loudest band are an amazing band. A noted Spinal Tap expert told me that the drummer spontaneously combusted moments after throwing this drumstick into the audience, but I couldn't confirm that.
This is an actual stick used in their New York City show at the Beacon Theater on June 23, 1992. It has the Spinal Tap logo printed on it! The stick is beat to hell from the awesome drumming and looks great, like a drum stick used at a killer show should look! You won't find many of these out there! I couldn't find any record of any being sold on the internet.
For a sense of how valuable this drumstick is, listen to Spinal Tap's own David St. Hubbins, when he was talking about the launch of their web-site tapster:
"Tapster.com was a marvelous success," said Tap singer David St. Hubbins. "We increased our traffic by more than 8,086,500 percent in the first twenty four hours of the site's launch. If you apply that formula to the Auctions, well, a Tap drumstick that would normally go for approximately $20.00 will likely fetch somewhere in the neighborhood of $160,000,000,000."

I think the key was to have the words "das boot" in the title. Let's face it, nobody does searches for crayons anymore than they do searches for clown straws, but there are people looking for das boot stuff.
Also, you can do a search for the auction ( http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...egory=158&rd=1 ), but the only thing that comes up is the "I Love Bacon" site.
