No UPC's! I '''HATE''' those things!!! Here's my John Carpenter collection, sans UPC's, critics quotes and all other nonsense removed from the covers (titles only). All the spines are redesigned to match as a set and some cover art is of an alternate variety with other variations made to color etc.. 'Dark Star', 'Prince of Darkness' (OOP copy) are in the mail and it looks like I'll have to spring big bucks for an 'Out-of-print' copy of 'Assault on Precinct 13" as well, so I can complete the set.

I must give credit to Chris Y. (Darthvong) for the Halloween cover because it is composed of various elements from several of his covers. Since I only have the first two Halloween films in my collection I decided to box them together.
And here they are all in a row!

Was that directed by Carpenter? I almost forgot 'Christine' as well. I normally would skip a bunch of these discs but I fell like I just have to complete the set.

Ok! I'll give you the answer. A while back I posted a link to a seller on eBay that is selling amaray cases that were originally sent to a rental outlet that uses cases with thier name on the cover. The original cases with the movie cover and inside insert are then disgarded. Somehow this seller got hold of dozens of boxes (30 Amaray cases in each box) of the Britney Spears movie 'Crossroads'. I purchased 6 boxes of 30.

The Amarays were all in very nice shape and at $12 per 30 a very good bargain as well.

Announcing DVDGreek.com

My new personal DVD Cover's site is finally up and running after spending a couple of weeks learning the fun of web development. It is available at www.dvdgreek.com . It currently just has my Fifth Element , Starship Troopers, and Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels covers. I'll be uploading more shortly (and redoing the Fifth Element ones with a custom back cover).

A couple things that I did differently than the other sites out there is that I'm limiting downloads to once per day and require an account to be able to download anything. This may be a little much, but it should help keep excessive bandwidth from being used. I'd also be willing to host a limited/rotating set of covers for other users. Please give me any feedback on the site as its my first web project and I'm sure there are some bugs with it. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I keep all that crap off the front, but normally keep it on the back for whatever reason. A lot of time because there's just empty space...

I belive he worked for a renatel chain, and had the job of putting Britney's DVD in special packaging. He had the leftovers.

Mr Music,

The official spine/catalog number for Spider-man widescreen is 09661. The # (00171) in your artwork seems to be the one for rental market.

Unfortunatly Carpenter did not direct it. Tommy Lee Wallace (Halloween III) wrote and directed. But I think Carpenter was the executive producer. And the film also carries the "John Carpenter Presents" tag line.
