Bugsy Malone!!!! I actually tracked down a VHS copy and rented it a few months ago. This is a MUST! It would be really nice to see how this film transformed from its original intent to the classic that it became.
<P>And my second pick is Murder on the Orient Express. This is one of those movies that would simply be a tragedy to not have a SE.

Out of the other choices, "If" (the '68 version) would be the movie I would buy out of the group. Note that www.allmovie.com gives it a 4.5 star rating ( http://www.allmovie.com/cg/avg.dll?p=avg&sql=A63498 ).

Any chance of some Spanish language movies? If so, please make them widescreen (anamporphic if possible) and make the subtitles optional (anything beyond that would be gravy).

Edit: OK, Martin's not a choice. So all of the listed movies will be released on DVD and you are just asking which ones should receive preferential treatment? Then I'll vote for "If". I've never seen it, but it sounds quite interesting.

I vote for extras on MURDER ON THE ORIENT EXPRESS and FOUL PLAY.

Heck, I'd take IF barebones, but a special edition would be great!!!!

This is precisely the kind of cult film that fans love and it should be done right the first time with value-added features.

The Ladies Man, Geisha Boy, Cinderfella, The Errand Boy, Who's Minding the Story and of course The Bellboy would be incredible special editions. Just right there you could have a priceless boxset! Since Jerry is still with us, audio commentary would be amazing, as well as production notes, script changes, cut footage, theatrical trailers as well as behind the scene movies as many of these have been shown on AMC and A&E Biography. Definatly have to vote for Jerry Lewis. I gotta agree getting a barebones version of The Nutty Professor was a let down. A SE would be wonderful!!

How is it that Sidney Lumet is so underrated?
 

You absolutely must give MURDER ON THE ORIENT EXPRESS superior treatment. This is THE stand out title of the bunch that would warrant even a 2-disc treatment.
A retrospective commentary with director Sidney Lumet would be great (if he was willing)! I doubt a (surviving) cast commentary would be possible, but maybe the screenwriter Paul Dehn is still available too.
Does Paramount still have any casting session tapes or old rehearsal footage? I'd watch footage of Albert Finney being put into costume! Did Paramount make Lumet film a blasphemous alternate ending that nobody knows about??? THAT would sell.

(Speaking of Lumet, how about a DVD release of SERPICO???
That movie could use a remastering).

IF.... is a very close second. It would be great to hear a commentary by Malcolm McDowell on the experience of making the film (I'm sure he's had to recount it an infinite number of times before....).

And they all better be in anamorphic original-aspect ratio!!!


I'm not sure if I would really want to hear what Jerry Lewis has to say about his films now (not much of a fan), but I'm sure there's a market for his films much more than some of the other titles......

I would second a vote for more specialty releases of old CLASSIC Paramount studio pictures (as well as DANGER: DIABOLIK).
You guys need to be giving your early films the digital treatment before the celluoid is gone. It will all be gone, one day.....

Bonus features for Captain Kronos and the Hammer's The Man Who Could Cheat Death and Frankenstein And The Monster From Hell would really be exciting! And if we could hear from Christopher Lee, Jimmy Sangster, Caroline Munro and Madeline Smith I'll buy 10 extra copies of each and give them out as gifts! :)

1-16x9 widescreen-REQUIRED
2-dts audio-REQUIRED
3-director's cut-the best special feature of them all-requested
However if a movie was orignally mono dd will do so everything
post jurrasic park MUST have dts. Though some old movies like star wars MUST have dts-really inportant milestone movies
like indiana jones(star wars,indy forest gump or any other old inportant movie)
As for special features trailers,bloopers,deleated/extended

I know it's not on the list, but Il Conformista (The Conformist) has been #1 on my want list on DVD for years!

From the list though, definitely give If some bonus features, as it's widely considered one of the greatest films of all time!
