Nearly 60 people's lists have been counted and trends I have noticed so far:

-DVDs that were among the most popular a year ago have faded into obscurity. Like Top 10 discs: The Abyss, American Beauty, Braveheart, The Fantasia Anthology...hardly anyone has voted for them now.

-This forum really likes Kevin Smith movies.

-It's odd...titles come and go in waves. People must be looking specifically at the few posts before them for ideas, which would explain why some titles go unmentioned for a page, then are voted for 3 times in the next 4 posts.

-The most popular DVD releases of 2001 from the results thus far are The Phantom Menace, The Godfather Collection, Snow White, Shrek, Citizen Kane, Die Hard: 5-star, Forrest Gump, Planet of the Apes (2001). However, even with the studios upping the ante in quality for DVD releases, several old favorites remain at or near the top.

I'll post the top 100 results once 100 people have voted and all have been counted. Just sharing somethings I found interesting, which you probably won't.
