Odd Spartacus Glitch
I was rewatching Spartacus last night a notice the following.
At 108 minutes into the movie, Spartacus returns to his former prison. We see Spartacus look around in a long shot. Strangely though, the bricks on the wall at the bottom of the screen flicker. There flicker isn't similar to the wavy patterns that a busy shirt might make. It's an odd phenomenom. Any one know why this happens? Thanks. |

What's a twikoff? Not worried...don't think anything is "wrong" with my disk...just curious about the limits of the technology.
|
Mine doesnt twikoff. Is it the old one or the Criterion?
|
Criterion.
LBP...did you know which moment in the film I'm referering to? It's the bricks in the lower part of the frame that create a "line" that visually leads to Douglas. |
-eek-
The otters invade the main forum |
I thought the twickoff problem was only on the Das Boot version.... no?
|
|
What was that das Boot joke again? I always laugh when I hear it ...
|
I've got the same movie and just forwarded to the part you mentioned. I see no flickering, so it's obviously not a twikoff... mostlikely due to some abrasion on your disk due to heat, or a microscopic scratch. Either way, it's your disk.
|
Okay otters... Let's walk back to your cages. (Damn, who let them out?) [Drags the otters by their collars] Sorry friend, this won't happen again. :)

It's got to be twikoff.

I'm glad I spent some time in the Other forum recently. It's good to know a twikoff when ya see one.

Um, I guess you figured you are getting messed with?
On the serious side you might want to ask The Edit King. |
Is it just me or does it feel great to you guys to get out?

It is a bit sad that we strayed off topic for this thread though....
Hey...if you have some oddities at certain points when playing back a DVD....check for melon juice on the DVD. If it splatters on the disc, it may affect the playback |
some one forgot to lock the cage to the other... might aswell run around a bit.. ;)
as for the response.. its part of most of all polls. :p |

I'm sorry Bushdog. I just turned around for a minute to get a fresh Packasmokes© and a few of them jumped the fence when my back was turned.
I think that "shock collar" idea you brought up in the Mods Forum is a good one. Will we be able to adjust the voltage? |

Do you have a progressive scan DVD player? I hear progressive scan irons out the twikoff problem that some of the newer Criterion discs have. :D |

Since I am one of the non-otters that knows remotely whats going on here, I feel it is my duty... nay... priviledge to wrangle this thread... hijacked by evil-doers to the ground before it destroys the whole DVDTalk forum.
