I'm sorry Bushdog. I just turned around for a minute to get a fresh Packasmokes© and a few of them jumped the fence when my back was turned.

I think that "shock collar" idea you brought up in the Mods Forum is a good one. Will we be able to adjust the voltage?

[sigh]... okay, guys, seriously... let's try to help this guy out.

Do you have a progressive scan DVD player? I hear progressive scan irons out the twikoff problem that some of the newer Criterion discs have.

Is that the scene in which Spartacus asks a gladiator if he ever saw a grown man naked?

its something that affected the ages of time. The elders say you must walk a 1000 miles in the dessert and look within for then you will discover what a twikoff is. Of course this is only legend and the story has changed over time.
As for the other question try the hardware forum.

I htought twikoff was a virus

last i heard it spread by itself and infect Forums...it appears as a reply to almost every thread. Its quite obvious cuz one would have to have no life to really post that many times....its just a virus, i didnt know it infected dvds too

I was rewatching Spartacus last night a notice the following.

At 108 minutes into the movie, Spartacus returns to his former prison. We see Spartacus look around in a long shot. Strangely though, the bricks on the wall at the bottom of the screen flicker. There flicker isn't similar to the wavy patterns that a busy shirt might make.

It's an odd phenomenom. Any one know why this happens?

Thanks.

try this link. it describes some artifacts.

sorry for the lack of help.

I expect it was a moire pattern. do a search on dvd and moire in your favorite search engine if you want to read up on it.

I read the above posts and I am reminded of the scene in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest McMurphy takes his fellow inmates on a day trip outside the asylum...

Trivia contest anyone...
