My parents live very close to a major U.S. Air Force base in the South and they just saw the base launch several flights of armed F-16s.

If its Bin Laden (thats whos claiming responsability) the problem with the whole "wipe-em-out" thing is he isnt in a country that sponsers terrorism. Hes hiding in Afganistan, IIRC, and hes the area he is supposedly hiding in is populated by peasants. Troops would actually have to sweep the hills and countryside. You cant just bomb thousands of poor people just to get one terrorist cell. Plus an attack this coordinated is being run out of dozens of cells all over the country.

NYC fire department is saying that they didn't think anything could bring down the South Tower...they think that this other one might fall. :(
