Hmm That's strange: when I checked French websites two weeks ago it said date of release to be march 6th 2001. Release date in Holland was 28th feb, although there were a couple of stores who had it a week early - maybe carrefour is like that.
But I'm really more curious why you didn't buy it - reading your post gives the impression that you didn't (or did you?)

Len2000 - you're right, in thinking I didn't buy it. It definately was the SE, though.
Believe this if you can - I did not buy it because I got so excited!! I think that I may have put TWO copies into someone else's shopping cart. What an idiot.
I will just have to wait until it's out in the UK (19th March, I reckon).

)All in due time... It's worth the money, though...
BTW - I checked if the UK release is edited (since its rated 15) but apparently it's not.
