I bought from amazon the criterion collection Richard iii blu ray -- region A --but I find that it will not play on my multi region player, does anyone know why this is ?. it cost £33 pound with postage so was not cheap. ps, all my other region A discs work fine on my player.

It might help if you tell us what player you have. You say that your region A discs work but are they region locked discs? Richard III is region locked so if your player makes you type in a code to change regions, you would have to do so in order to play it.
