It looks like Amazon.jp has 3 T2 "Premium Edition" Blu-Rays:

- Limited Edition Tin release
- Limited Edition Steel Case release (Version 2.0)
- Standard Case edition (Version 2.0)

I was just curious what the difference between Version 2.0 and the initial release was. I get the impression maybe the new release has a dub in DTS-HD, but I want to be sure.

The differences from original to 2.0:

the English TrueHD track is now dts-HD MA
the "special edition" version of the film has 2 deleted scenes reinstated
the Fuji TV Japanese mono dub is included
Original trailer now in HD
24 page Japanese booklet

Do you know if the 2.0 used the same transfer as the US "Skynet" edition as rumored? And by "2 deleted scenes reinstated", does that mean the older edition has an edited version of the "Special Edition"?

I think the transfer is not the same as the US version. I think the transfers of the Japanese editions are both the same though. The older disc has the "Special Edition" (152m), but the 2.0 has the "Extended Special Edition" (154m)

The Extended Special Edition is the one with the terrible future ending, right? I can live without that version. Thanks for all the info!
