BFL postage rebates and the UK

Has anybody out there used Brands For Less to get a rebate of their postage to the UK. If so what's the easiest way to cash the cheque ... my bank (Lloyds TSB) seems very keen to charge me £8 for the pleasure of cashing a $10 cheque
