Re: Bread and Tulips (Italy)
thanks Pro-B. I was at Rasputin Music in San Jose, Ca browsing the used DVD section and I came across this. The cover art caught my attention and it sounded pretty interesting. Is Bruno Ganz the guy that plays Hitler in Downfall? I just picked this movie up at Borders the other day but I haven't watched it yet.

lol Joey, you only have 7 foreign language films and I would have never expected that movie to be one of them. if it sounds like I'm putting your collection down, I'm not. You have 4 times as many foreign films as me hehe
and alot more than me overall as well!!
thanks for your comments. I think I will pick this up from amazon in the near future

I agree. A wonderful film all together. Very much in the same vein as Shirley Valentine.
Agata and the Storm aka Agata e la tempesta is more of the same, but not as good as Bread and Tulips.
However, I bought the dirt cheap Universe Laser Region 3 instead of the Region 1, which I found it rather pricey.

Re: Bread and Tulips (Italy)
I was disappointed with this movie overall. It's a sweet story, and a great performance by the lead actress, but it moved along verrrrrrrrry slowly, and we didn't get to see much of Venice in it. So good movie, yes, but slow: and I've never been able to bring myself to watch it a second time.
