Re: Mesrine

Yeah - I got the UK DVD (I'd rather get the blu-ray, but I don't have an all-region blu-ray player like I do an all-region dvd player) and it's packaged exactly the same, only in the taller, standard dvd package size and no blue strip on the top.

I watched the first part - a fantastic, if slightly cliched, crime film. I can't wait to watch the second part.

Thanks for the heads up!

I have a Region-Free BD Player, but I wasn't too keen on the packaging for the UK Mesrine and it's a little pricey on BD right now.

Might have to wait it out or opt for the UK DVD.

Re: Mesrine

It pretty much is two movie, and each part has a solid 45-minute making-of, so if you think of it as two dvds/blu-rays (which it is) instead of just one, it's not too bad a deal.

That's true

I'll probably hold off, since there are a handful of UK DVD's/BD's I want to throw on my order.

Re: Mesrine

Just watched the 2nd part - really enjoyed it again. Not as strong as the first part, but still pretty damn good.

I liked Mesrine way better than the other recent bio-pic, which is also about a scandalous foreign man with facial hair that took place during the '60s and '70s over the course of two films.

This movie, both parts, is worth every cent you pay. Either the DVD or renting/streaming.

Re: Mesrine

Gotta find some time to watch this - been sitting on the French BD for a while now.
