I just installed my new DVD player (DV-300-s) but it only plays Region 1 movies. When I insert another region DVD the sound works but the image jerks off, flashes everywhere. Is there a code to make it work with all region DVDs? Thanks!

Probably your TV does not support PAL/50Hz.

But yeah, it sounds like the DVD will play other regions but does not convert the PAL signal for you. If it was just a matter of Region lock, you would probably get a message that the disc was unreadable or the wrong Region.

Now, I think most current players that can be hacked to Region-free also do the converting for you. I know all the Philips players I've owned have. I would check the player's set-up menu and make sure your tv settings are NTSC.

EDIT: According to your player's page at Video Help, the Region hack is a little complicated. If you did not purchase the player pre-hacked, you will probably have to go through this process to get it running Region-free. But check the DVD player's menu settings first, like I suggested above.
