I have a few since I have a region free DVD player.

I have:

Bucky O'Hare: The Complete Series (Region 2)
Phantasm 5 Disc Box Set (Region 2)
Friday the 13th Uncut (Region 2)
Cannibal Holocaust (Region 2)
Power Rangers: Seasons 1, 2 & 3 (Region 2)
Sophie Scholl: The Final Days (Region 3)

I think that is it, but I'm not 100% sure. You can see them in my DVDSpot collection.

what kind of a region free dvd player do you have and where did you get yours from? I just very briefly checked on amazon and they seem to have some pretty good prices. I guess DVD player are pretty cheap now anyway. I'll gladly check out your collection. Thanks

I only have one, Scream Uncut (Japan/R2).

I wanted to purchase Jurassic Park Superbit (Japan/R2), Kill Bill Uncut (Japan/R2), Grindhouse (Japan/R2), and Iron Monkey Uncut (UK/R2), but I don't like paying a lot for DVDs, and I ended up purchasing the US editions instead.

I bet that 300 one is nice. I'm looking for some imported versions of American films like 300 or Braveheart...just different ones...researching and shopping for imported cds has led me to imported dvds.

what sites do you guys use? I've used amazon's chinese site for cds...just placed my first four orders last weekend...with a little difficulty I've heard of cdjapan.co.jp, dvdfromkorea.com, amazon.cn and gouduo. are you guys familiar with any of those sites?

Amazon is a pretty safe bet. I've ordered from their French, German, and UK sites. I use sendit.com for everything British.

Cd-Wow is a good site for UK and other regions.

I have complete faith in any amazon site. Their Japanese site and German site are the only ones that I haven't used. I've received packages from amazon.uk in as little as four days and I just received an order from amazon.fr yesterday and that took about a week.

Hey Van, I'll definitely keep you posted on how the amazon.cn orders go. Do you guys have any pictures of your imports?

Sorry, I meant the first Creepshow. I'm not sure what release your friend is referring to - the R1 and R2 editions are identical, and a DVDAf search for Creepshow 2 didn't turn up anything else.

No problem at all .. thanks for the info. Yeah, DVDCompare sums up what you are saying. The only plus side to the UK Anchorbay release is the DTS soundtrack whereas the U.S. seems to have released a couple more extras.

It's been awhile since I had that discussion, but I believe I recall this person saying the release came with a comic book and it may have been limited. I'll have to revisit this and dig a little further.

A few more I forgot to mention:

David Holzman's Diary
Portrait of Jason
The Savage Innocents

The excellent MoC version of Savage Innocents has unfortunately been recalled and replaced with a horrific, edited budget edition, but it is still available from third party sellers on Amazon.co.uk. Well worth tracking down for Nicholas Ray fans. I suppose I should also include Tabu in my list, since I believe it is an American production, though it has no dialog of any kind.

I've imported a few DVDs of U.S. films. Usually b/c of better specs or features, but sometimes just to add on to an order of other (non-U.S.) DVDs.

From Korea (mix of R3 and R0)

Anaconda -- Superbit
Cat People -- SE
Cliffhanger --SE w/ DTS (and I like the cover better)
Robocop -- 2-disc "Director's Edition"
Soapdish
True Lies -- anamorphic (the R1 is not)
Wayne's World
Wild at Heart -- fully uncensored (I also want the R1 CE for the special features, but this one was only $3!)
Conan the Barbarian
Death Race 2000
The Magnificent Seven

From Japan

Kill Bill: Volume 1 / Volume 2 -- full color uncut.

From Europe (R2)

Ally McBeal - The Complete DVD Collection -- Box set from England. I don't think this was ever issued in R1
Blade Runner -- 5-disc metal tin.
Creepshow -- 2-disc SE
Drive -- uncut w/ lots of special features. The R1 version was heavily cut and bare-bones.
The Frighteners -- German 4-disc.
