SIVAJI THE BOSS dvd: new Indian film directed by Tamil visual-effects guru, S.Shankar
Austin Powers meets James Bond meets Robert Rodriguez' Desperado
SIVAJI THE BOSS, the current most expensive Bollywood/Tamilwood film yet, is coming to DVD and Blu Ray DVD soon (first Tamil Blu-Ray DVD I think?) in March and May.
Check out this trailer. Honestly, this looks like the best Bollywood movie ever made. Even if it's bad, it looks like it could be so bad that it is awesome. I think this movie is one to watch with a group of buddies.

Try not to youtube other scenes from the movie - you'll just spoil it for yourself. No subtitles on the Youtube clips, but from the looks of it, this movie looks so-bad, it's funny. Usually, Bollywood funny is so bad, it's just bad. I don't think I've been this excited for a DVD coming out of the blue in a long time. When it's for sale, I'm gonna buy it up and review it as soon as possible.
S. Shankar also directed first Indian martial-arts film Anniyan, Boys, Nayak, Indian, Jeans (with Ash Rai), and Gentleman.
India's master composer, A.R. Rahman did the music for the movie.

InnocentBlood, yup Ayngaran is releasing it. I wonder if they are still going to have their logo pop up in the corner during song scenes on the Blu Ray DVD. If you go to Zulm.net, you'll find info about the dvd there. There's some Ayngaran rep that posts in that forum.

Hey toddly...yup I'll check this one out...though I'm not overly excited about it as of right now...and my expectations will be set way low. I have to admit I'm a bit dumbfounded by the incredible mass appeal of "Superstar" Rajnikanth...though I concede I haven't seen much of his work. I felt the same way about Telugu megastar N.T.R. Jr. but then I saw him in Rakhi (2006) and he did have solid on-screen charisma...and he can deliver dialogue well.

Flixtime, I've never seen Superstar Rajnikanth before, but that thick head of hair and thick mustache turns me on like a mutha fucka... The villain in the flick is played by someone who seems to be spoofing Matrix's Morpheus...
On a serious note, I think it's a good idea to have blond indian girls and indian dudes with shaved heads. From the above photos, indian girls surprisingly look pretty hot as blonds - one of those above posted pics looks like Jessica Alba. And I would like see more Indian actors with shaved heads - I'm so sick of those 80s thick hairdos/mustaches...

this is movie, in a nutshell, is a missed opportunity, given the amount of sheer talent involved in this massive project.
but i'd be interested to know how the DVD - or rather, especially the Blu Ray - pans out.
