Which is the preferred language? I hear the original language is bad english spoken by the japanese actors. And are the subtitles forced? I thought it was going to have english subtitles as well?

The original language spoken is English. No one speaks Japanese in the movie (except for one line). And they never said anything about English subtitles.

I suppose this comes in both English and Japanese dubs but only Japanese subtitles. Price is too steep though. I'll just have to wait for the R1 release which I'm certain will have the English subtitles. I've read that understanding the dialogue was hard to understand without the subs.

quite true. unless you are used to japanese accents, some of the dialogue is hard to understand from most of the actors.

Then again, the story is essentially the same as Django. You know whats in the coffin, you know the story already.

I thought this movie was more of a fun time to have making it than something of artistic value. And I certainly liked it for being that.

Nice cover. I love spaghetti westerns but haven't seen this yet. I've only seen a couple of Miike's films and liked them but can't say I'm a huge fan. Wondering if I should blind buy at this price.

The best thing about this movie is the English dialogue. It's great hearing all the different levels of spoken english. Some speak good english but can't act in english, while others can't speak good english, but they can act fine with their broken english. But the movie is a mess. Some good scenes here and there, but it's one big mess. I wouldn't recommend spending a lot of money on the DVD.
