[side comment: I am so pissed that WB said the upcoming 'The Devils' was a mistake listing on someone's part and no 2008 release would be happening, I just said fuck 'em and bought the cropped boot].

Why would he need to post a dedicated thread about it. Some people here just want to be walked through everything. Even tony's listing says Anamorphic (16:9) Widescreen (1.85:1) Version. Did you read the description before you bought it?

I guess I can own up to the fact that I didn't realize that it was 2.35:1 in the first place.

I just ordered Ms. .45 as a blind buy, but I tend to enjoy revenge flicks (Female Convict Scorpion, Thriller, Kill Bill, etc.). Hopefully, it won't disappoint.

I recently watched the first 3 episodes of the Korean TV series Stairway to Heaven on a free teaser DVD from YesAsia. All I can say is Oh. My. God. I can already see why this was one of the highest rated Korean TV dramas ever.

Put in my order for the full set--got a good deal @ $49.99.

Yea, I saw the thread over in the talk forum.

All the chatter about what extras will be on the R1 release as well as the music rights, made my decision to order easier.

Then again I've been wanting this set since it was first released, so I'm happy to finally have it coming my way.

What chatter? Rights issues are what kept it coming here up to now, but that all got cleared up. In fact, the R1 is going to be getting even more/new extras:

Wasn't there talk in that thread about the possibility of the music not being the same due to rights? I know DVDTalk member "Luther Heggs", mentioned the music had to be changed on the R2 release compared to the original broadcast.

http://forum.dvdtalk.com/showpost.ph...5&postcount=34

The chatter I was mentioning was several posts on the 2nd page regarding music rights:

http://forum.dvdtalk.com/showthread.php?t=526593&page=2

Either way I already ordered it a week ago and don't regret it.

Anyone have some good Asian drama suggestions? I'm looking to order a copy of Still Life, and would like to add a couple of other items into the purchase.

MODERN LOVE R4 Australia (pre-order for expected release on April 10th) - described as a "gothic psychodrama...recalling Kubrick's THE SHINING"

And the best part is...the film's director Alex Frayne has been visiting this forum recently and we are expecting the chance to do a Q&A with him. By "we", I don't mean only the staff here at DVD Talk, I mean you...anyone with a question is welcome to ask. Here is the current thread which is a prelude to the Q&A thread:

I've been looking to pick up The Old Garden which has had my attention (read plenty of positive feedback on a French forum I frequent) for some time now. I believe it comes in two versions: LE and a "regular".

Thanks, this sounds very nice. I enjoyed The President's Last Bang, so I'm more willing to take a "blind buy" on a director that I'm somewhat familiar with.
