La Vie En Rose HD-DVD
Just a heads-up that xploited is now stocking both the regular 2-disc version and a sweet 3-disc limited deluxe edition. The feature film in both versions has English subtitles, a rarity for French releases of French-language films.

You are referring to these two Blu-ray releases correct? They both have English subs?

If so, did you happen to pick your copy up somewhere cheaper than Amazon.fr? And What more are we getting on the 3-disc set compared to the 2-disc?
Thanks.

1. Yes, both offer optional English subtitles.
2. The collector's deluxe pack is actually a 2 disc set with a CD plus a calendar, a music score sheet, and the book in French.
3. Disc 2 offers a "Making of", two featurettes*, and a collage of deleted scenes (none of the extras are with English subs).
4. Yes, I did get mine via Amazon (though I had it shipped to a colleague via PriceMinister)

Forgot to mention that the second featurette which has an asterisk above is actually the same piece that was shown at Cannes. I don't see it mentioned anywhere but this should have been included on the R1 disc. The first one is rather basic with mostly technical info and "in action" footage plus some sporadic comments.

la vie en rose available hd AND blu-ray?!
Looking on the amazon.fr site I see seperate listings for LA MOME in hd and blu-ray, but in both product listings, it says in french that it's region 2 and probably can't be viewed outside of Europe(?)
Pro-bassoonist, can you confirm that the blu ray version of LA MOME you received from Amazon worked for you here in the states?
Thanks,RJ

Disregard what Amazon says!
Yes, you could order safely. The BR disc is encoded ABC and you can play it in your US machine without a problem.
