What is the best release of Solas?

I have seen the Artificial Eye DVD from R2 and I felt the video transfer was very weak and made the burnt-in subtitles difficult to read. Is there a better DVD (English-friendly) release of Solas? Or will there ever be a new release in future?

Thanks!

The only other quality release which is English-friendly is the Spanish disc. There were rumors that Zambrano was to be involved in a SE...but it never happened. Superb film!

A superb film indeed! How does the Spanish disc compare to Artificial Eye's? Because I may just go along with AE if there isn't a significant difference in video quality.

I don't own the Spanish disc, reviewed it from the now defunct Nicheflix. Slightly better than the UK disc but the pirnt used is identical (it beats the UK disc in the audio department as back in the days AE would only license 2.0 tracks, the Spanish disc offers 5.1 mix and a better cover work).

It is really a no-gain game here, I would stay with the UK disc!
