German DVD e-tailer recommendations? [merged]

Well the German version of Resident Evil Appocolypse is a few minutes longer, and I want it!

See here for info and pics of the new footage

(Does anyone have a review of it? a good one? I want to know if extras are dubbed, or burned in subs etc I have looked beleve me)

SO WHERE IS GOOD FOR GERMAN DVDS?
CHEAP?

amazon dont stock it as its Unrated which is a same as I trust them at least

so any really nice Geraman retailers out there who deliver to the UK ?

No cheap German products can be ordered...the only alternative might be a Swiss vendor though they charge quite the same (if not more).

Romerojpg, is this too expensive for you?
http://www.1a-dvdshop.ch/Default.asp?idlnk=2768958

I'd order it myself, but with 10 euros for shipping to the US, I'd rather wait on the release of Saw to add in some more stuff. I'd like to get the Phantasm II CE, but did you see the price on that? And it's not even available at the moment.

BTW, the link you posted for the screenshots of RE2....I'm confused. They show the artwork for the R1 and R3 HK DVD's, but then show extended scenes. Where's the artwork for the Premium Edition shown in the link posted above?

They show the artwork for R1 because they used the US DVD to compare which scenes are extra. The R3 artwork is a link to CDWow, so basically just an ad.

Funny, you'd think when showing screenshots from the German DVD, they would show the cover art for the German DVD. Only makes sense.

What about the guys .. poker industries ?

They have a limited selection, and even though some prices top off on the high end, some deals can be had ..

If dvddetective were in europe I would get it, but I think they are in america so I would get stung by customs and the dvd would end up costong a fortune

so it has to be customs friendly or in europe.

This is killing me too. I want the German DVD for the film Pathfinder which retails for a reasonable $10 but I can't find any German e-tailer that will ship it to the US for less than $20. What gives? I've mailed many packages to Germany and they certainly didn't cost that much to send from here.

It is strange, I have only really ever ordered one dvd from Germany that was resident Evil and it cost me a fortune! so I have learned my lesson and will wait till someone comes along and tells me the best place, if it takes a long time so be it, I dont want to throw cash away

If anyone is still looking for Resident Evil, i just bought 2 copies of Resident Evil Apocalypse - Premium Edition. That is the German Extended Edition. I payed 25,99 Euro for it and i just checked, shipping to EU countries is 4,50 Euro, or 6,50 registered mail. US is 10 Euro registered, so i guess it would be better for someone in Europe.
If there is more interest, the store is only a few blocks away from me so i could buy more copies if people want them.

Reputable and cheap German e-tailers?

Hi,

I live in the Czech Republic (I'm from the U.S.) and I don't where I can get German DVDs, so here I am. I want the Region 2 Wild at Heart (you all probably know why). Amazon.de and DVDHoelle have it really cheap, about €7, but Amazon.de's shipping is really expensive, prohibitively so. It would be much cheaper for me to order the damn thing from hkflix in the U.S. and have it shipped here! Ridiculous. Does anyone have any experience with German e-tailers that have reasonable shipping costs? I know pro-bassoonist has listed some.

Or I wait until the Czech DVD of Wild at Heart comes out from Universal, hopefully by the end of the year, but I'm leaving in January.

Why aren't you driving over the border? You can visit a Media Markt or Saturn (both similar to Best Buy) and buy your DVDs. Unlike most German e-tailers they will also stock FSK 18 DVDs.

Besides the Czech Republic is in the EU so you don't have to worry about customs.
