The Lives of Others - R3 Thailand

The Academy Award winner 2007 "The Lives of Others" seem like a good bargain. Only USD 10.50 shipping included.

It has English subtitles, and perhaps a title DVDTalk would like to review.

Here at eThaiCD

I would love to run it for TALK and yes the price is great. If it shows at Xploited I will. Although with the R1 and R2 on the way, and past Thai releases of European cinema not being solid, this may well be another such disc.

This film also deserves as many extras as possible!

Thank you for posting it Dane!

IŽm puzzled why youŽll get it from Xploited. eThaiDVD are very reliable. Anyhow, I have just ordered it myself.

Oh, and the R1 release are scheduled for a June 26th release. I believe. R2 Scandinavia has been out for a while with a DTS track.

I bought Bruno Dumont's Flandres from eThaiDVD.com and I'm pleased with the DVD and the purchase, which was slick and efficient.

Sony Pictures Classics for the US, so welcome the bright yellow subtitles.

Japan will have it released in summer, but no English subtitles.

I also bought Tom Tykwers "Perfume" from eThaiDVD.

This was a major letdown. Not the movie itself but the image was blurred when naked tits was exposed. Come on, Thailand!! Is this really so naughty to show? IsnŽt human flesh a natural thing.

The non-R1 DVDs I review for Talk are sponsored by Xploited. As Geoff does not have an agreement with Ethai I will not run it on my own.

I, like everyone else, must and like to follow the rules.

Just watched the R2 Germany disc of this film yesterday (no subs included). Like most people, I really enjoyed it. Decent extras on the disc, too -- making of, deleted scenes, 2 commentaries... so hopefully a forthcoming English-friendly release will carry these.

Dazza.

Has anyone watched the Thai DVD release yet? I'm tempted to pick it up but would like confirmation it is free of any censorship/digital blurring issues.

Didnt enjoy this film at all, way too overhyped, Typical german arthouse trash just about a peeping tom perving over some upperclass folk! ZZzzzzz. Enjoyed Sophie Scholl much more.
