I am about to place a large order with amazon.fr and would like to gather your top recommendations for R2 French DVDs with English subtitles (and for English language films, removeable French subs). What are the must-have R2 French DVDs?

It is very difficult to recommend DVDs and not films. If I were to know what genres you are interested in then I could perhaps make a few valid suggestions.

Most of the features on that are also on the U.S. DVD. The ones exclusive to it -- a French Annaud commentary and another documentary -- apparently have NO English subtitles.
