Yeah I did see that after I had already ordered Nostalgia. Oh well.

Nice. Ken Loach was suppose to introduce his film "It's a Free World" tonight at the AFI Silver in Silver Spring, Maryland but he cancelled out a few days ago. The AFI will still be going ahead this weekend with a mini-retrospective of Loach's work though including Bread and Roses, Riff-Raff, Which Side Are You On?, Land and Freedom, Poor Cow, Kes, and The Wind That Shakes the Barley.

Since there isn't really a bargain thread on here I'd thought I'd post my most recent transaction:

I'm happy with the Ken Loach collection but sadly quite a few titles don't have subtitles.

I watched "The Gamekeeper" and probably missed 20% of the dialogue. There was a conversation near the end that lost me completely.

Lots of British TV:

Doctor in the House, from dvd.co.uk, series 1 & 2, £7.95 each w/ shipping
The Goodies at LWT
Shelley, series one
Disreali
The Zoo Gang
Charles II: The Power and the Passion (R1 is cut)
Ancient Rome: The Rise and Fall of an Empire (this is a BBC/Discovery/ZDF co-production, surprised it isn't out in R1!)

All the above were at least 50% off except for Charles II...

My first region 2 order, all from Amazon UK:

Jean Vigo collection

Holy Mountain (MoC)

These are pretty good deals: Don't Look Now SE £7.74 shipped, and Belle De Jour £10.72 shipped from Amazon UK. Ordered 'em both.

The Fritz Lang Box Set from Eureka is £28.06 plus shipping from Amazon UK. I already own the Criterions of M and Testament of Dr. Mabuse, but it was worth it for Metropolis, Spione, and Dr. Mabuse the Gambler, all of which had been on my wishlist. There are different extras from the Criterion sets as well.
