Question About PAL DVDs
I was looking at a DVD that is "(Region All and PAL Format)" and I do not know if it would work on my system or not.
I have a Cyberhome CH300 which is supposed to be, region free do-able, but my TV is just a regular American TV. If I could get the disc to play, would it be viewable on my TV (in decent quality)?
We also have a Philips dvd player in the livingroom... It is a model 642/37 manufactured July 04. I finally found a model number on the back of the player. This is good news, right?

Setting up the Cyberhome at NTSC-output and "Region-ALL" will allow you to play any dvd, from any region 1-5, regardless of the encoding (PAL or NTSC), which will allow your "American TV" (
) to handle it without any hassle. A quick search will provide you with the needed information as to how to properly set up your player.Ciao,

A little late to the show, but yes on both players. I've owned both and each of them were capable of playing R2 PAL, R2, R3 and R4 disks. I didn't keep them very long so I couldn't respond to quality of playback however ...
