Question about 2046/In the Mood for Love 2-pack (Region 2)

Has anybody purchased the two-pack Tartan UK release of "2046/In the Mood for Love"? I would liek to know whether the version of "In the Mood for Love" is the newer 2-disc Special Edition with the anamorphic transfer and remastered 5.1 Cantonese track, or the older single-disc release.

The extras listed for the release match the 2-disc special edition, but the Tartan website lists "Dolby Digital 2.0 stereo" as the only audio option for the film, which matches the single-disc original release.

Tartan link for the 2-pack:

http://www.tartanvideo.co.uk/ht_titl....asp?TITID=510

Thanks in advance,

Miguel

Yes, I have it. The set does indeed contain the 2-disc special edition.

Thanks! I wanted to make sure that I would be getting the remastered DD 5.1 Cantonese track for "In the Mood for Love", which the first release does not have. I take it from your reply that the version included in the 2-pack release with "2046" does indeed have the new track.

I don't know how the Cantonese audio track compares to the one on the first release, but it is a Dolby Digital 5.1 track. There are also Mandarin, French and Spanish audio tracks. The picture is anamorphic widescreen ~1.66:1.

My copy is region 2 even though the back cover indicates region 0. Bought in August last year.

Hope this helps.

The other question would be, does this 2046 release from Tartan include the same "faulty" (i.e. badly remastered for home theater) original track as all the other international releases or does it include the "real" original soundtrack as heard in theaters and which is currently only available on the R0 release from Mei Ah.

I already answered this before... the Tartan disc is an exact copy of the French disc with added English subs....sans all the spicy extras.
