What is the best DVD version of LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL?

What is the best DVD version of LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL, with Anamorphic video, English subtitles, original Italian DD 5.1?

I hear the Australian version is pretty good, but that sounds like the most expensive. I hear that the UK version is anamorphic but lousy quality. Does anyone know about the Korean DVD version? Is it anamorphic?

Well, the best version is certainly the newly remastered Italian disc...however...on two occasions I've ordered it for a family member (this is one of the few Italian films I despise) and was sent the older version (non-English friendly). The Aussie disc is slightly cropped. The Korean disc I have not seen (nor owned) but if I had to guess I would think it is clearly a PAL port as most of their releases of European cinema are. To sum it all up you need the 2005 released Italian version which is English friendly.

Ciao,

toddly6666, if you don't have anything else to pick up from Italy (aka other stuff that would help spread the shipping cost), then maybe just try e-mailing Tony with xploited. He has always been very helpful with stuff like this. His site is under maintenance right now but the e-mail is listed. And I think he might have a shipment of stuff coming out from Italy soon so maybe he can get it for you pretty quick.

Yes, that is the one, you need to request the 2005 release.

...or you could get the Scandinavian release, wich carries English subtitles and come in OAR Anamorphic. Image & sound is good. This is the version I have.
