DVD Talk Legend
Since the movie opened theatrically on the same day worldwide, I suspect that an R1 release would be coming out approximately the same time as an R2 release.

I did a paid online survey relating to this over the weekend.
I was asked questions about a virtually barebones release, a 2DVD "Special Edition" release (with 28 minutes extra features and lots of extras) and a Collectors Boxed Edition to be released for Christmas.
There were also questions about what I thought about prices of £12-99, £16-99 and £59-99 for the various editions. I said the prices were all too high and that I wouldn't pay so much extra for a boxed edition and certainly would not "double-dip".
They also asked about a variety of different descriptions of the film (some Hanks-centric; some Howard-centric; others more to do with the book or just the general concept) as well as different artwork styles. I preferred one with a lot more white in it and less reference to Da Vinci's paintings. The one shown at CDWow was my least favourite.
