I believe everything (extras) is in English except for the book. I haven't checked the extras out yet, or even watched the film. Though, I hear it sounds remarkably well!! I'll spin it up tonight and follow up ..
On topic:
R2(Scanbox) Machinist DTS
R2J Predator UE
R2J Predator II UE
R2J Ghost in the Shell (will be my fourth regional DVD of this .. I have a sickness )

There's a fair amount of DVD grain noticeable during dark scenes, of which there a lot of. Though, at times, the image appears very clean .. almost as if the grainyness disappeared more and more as the film went on. The image was generally on the soft side, but natural enough for what it's worth. Then the grain came back, so .. I'm almost wondering if there's some damage to the film stock as I've never seen a very good clear image from this film .. ever. I'd say that overall, it's a decent image and possibly the best you will get judgin upon what others say about mk2's restoring process. Though, it's far better than the old Canadian R1 P&S copy.

Convincing is how I'd put it. I only listened in DTS and although I found it to be lacking in dynamics department, the surround sound stage was effective and aided in the overall mood of the film. Surrounds weren't heavily used, but when they were I felt that the panning was believeable.
Well, I'm no expert in these matters, but this was how I felt. Overall, I'd give the presentation a B-. It would be lower if not for the DTS track .. though, maybe the DD is even better. I doubt the UK release will be any better as it's a direct port, so I'd recommend getting this only if you're a fan .. if not, wait until the price drops on either two versions.
