DVD Region Free+CSS Free... does anybody have problems with this program?

I am international and live part of the year in South Korea and the USA. My DVD Rom is programed to Region 1, so I recently bought the "DVD Region Free+CSS Free" program to watch my region 3 and Region 4 DVDs. When I run the program and play a DVD, it takes no action. Sometimes it says "Media Read Error." What's the deal? I emailed their support site and have heard nothing back from them. Anybody else have similar problems with this program?

I've been using it for a couple of years with no problems.

If you have an older DVDROM try www.videolan.org/vlc too.

I'm using Anydvd which I find works much better. Since it works at the driver level.

Depending on the DVD drive -- ie. any MatSHITa drive (IBM Thinkpads, etc) -- DVD Region Free can't hack the encoding on discs that come with CSS on a number of different series of that drive. I'm not sure if there's a firmware way around it.

You shouldn't have a problem with older multi-region discs, and even a number of more recent ones, depending who makes them - ie. Asmik Ace R2 Japan, etc. But many HK dvds now seem to come with encoding, not to mention the UK, etc.
