Season 1
http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/...104796-2785562

Anyone have these ? Since i missed out on the R1 releases (only have season 2 vol 1), I was thinking of picking up these.

Whats PQ like ? Comparable to US ?

Thanks.

I have the R4 releases and paid just under $AUD35 each for them. Try an Aussie site like EzyDVD. The picture quality is excellent on all the boxsets.

According to this link, the R1 DVDs contain multiple errors not present during original broadcast, and the R2 DVDs are much closer to the original broadcast versions of the show:

As I understand it, there's a trade-off. The R1 discs are remastered from the original film elements and generally have better picture quality, but are filled with animation (and transfer) errors. The R2 discs are transferred from the old broadcast masters; they have fewer errors but poorer picture quality.

I have all four of them. The are many animation errors on the first series (which is supposed to be the case with most releases of series 1) but the others are generally ok. The picture quality isn't great (which isn't surprising since they've jammed quite a number of episodes on each disc) and there's a fair amount of ghosting but it's watchable. The fact of the matter is that they're very cheap for what you're getting (and they tend to be even cheaper when it comes to sales) so if you're just wanting versions to watch and you're not that fussy about picture quality, then I'd recommend them.
