Does anybody know if the DVD currently on sale at amazon.co.uk is the corrected version (with the original mono sound)?

It should be. I just read on another board that a member who just received his from Amazon.uk, confirmed that it included the mono soundtrack. I recently ordered Stalker from there and it also included the mono soundtrack.

There's no way of knowing for sure which version you'll get, but the Artificial Eye release is nearly three and a half years old and Amazon most likely exhausted their supply of the original 5.1-only version a long while back.
