Sale has been going on for over a month now. Great deal since Spectrum (I believe) is closing down.

That sucks to hear. I've found their releases to be very impressive.

Does that mean I should buy the Spectrum reissues now, such as My Sassy Girl? I had been planning on upgrading.

What will happen to DVD distribution rights currently owned by Spectrum?

I have Spectrums LA REINE MARGOT-it lists at 139 mins because it is actually the 144 min US version ported from PAL masters, (144=US, 139 +UK/w-PAL speedup)
The longest version known to exist (I have it) is the 160 min PAL version from Holland.
No english subs unfortunately. (if it were NTSC it would be 168 mins long)

How is the transfer? Anamorphic? Excellent/acceptable/bad? I was thinking about getting it, but could not find any reviews.

Allow me to make one more recommendation....If you are looking to obtain a somewhat complete cut of La Reine Margot you should definitely consider both the R2uk/R4aus versions....they offer different cuts (yet not what La Reine Margot should have been) with near perfect quality!!

The Aussie disc does include the quilt scene from the US disc (though still not complete) which is not on the UK disc.
