I didn't know about this release. None of the stores seem to list what exactly makes this a Special Edition. I have the single disc release from a few years ago, wonder if it is worth a double dip.

See here; apparently it's a very nice 1.85:1 anamorphic widescreen transfer.

I ordered the new R2 Krays DVD from Amazon UK on 12/08. Should have this week. I will post some comments as soon as I receive. Price was approx. $18US(not including shipping) after VAT was subtracted.

I've got a copy. Not my cup of tea for a movie. If anyone wants to trade-forward a list of what you have for trade or will sell for $16 shipped.

I got this for Xmas. The transfer is very pleasing - better than I hoped. A commentary & one hour documentary are the main features of disc one. The quality of the docu is not great and seems tape sourced, but is nonetheless a good watch.

Disc two, "The Final Word" was actually released on its own a couple of years ago. Universal must have done a deal to include it. Its about two hours, widescreen, and features a lot of footage of Reg's last interview, sick in bed. A number of villains also appear to tell their story. This is a great addition, and makes the set awesome value for money. I was about to buy the Final Word on its own, and opened this set at Xmas to find it enclosed! What a great surprise!

Anyone who enjoys this film will be more than happy with the presentation and extras.
