Do the extra features on the German set feature an English language option? I speak some German, but I still prefer watching anything in the original language.
BTW, CD WOW still shows the German four-disc edition I have on order as as "Pre-release."

amazon.de does NOT sell the frightener's 4-disc set.the one they have is just an amazon exclsuve with one version i don't know which one.

Does anyone know how much longer the director's cut is compared to the theatrical release? It seemed at times that the original was kind of choppy or missing a bit of story so I am really interested in seeing the director's cut.

To answer your question, according to the DVDTalk review - the Director's cut is 14 minutes longer. On the German DVD release it is showing as 13 minutes (difference due to PAL conversion), and IMDb shows 12 minutes.
And I just wanted to take this opportunity to wish all the DVDTalk members and lurkers here at the International Forum a very Happy New Year! I had a nice time talking movies with you guys over the past year and most certainly watched a lot of good stuff thanks to you all.

The article was based on the Signature Collection LD and an older German version which was cut in two scenes.
