The Region 1 version of oldboy is comming out 8/23. The dvd DVD will be in anamorphic widescreen. The Korean-language track will be presented in Dolby Digital EX 5.1 Surround Sound or DTS-ES Digital 6.1 Surround Sound and the English-language track in Dolby Digital EX 5.1 Surround Sound.

It will also come with director and cinematographer commentary, deleted scenes (with optional commentary), and an interview with the director.

So far, i don't know if i should wait for this R1 version of buy the FE version.

can anyone comfire how many deleted scenes are in the FE version and is there an alternate ending? (one of the main reason i want to get the FE version was for the deleted and alternate scenes.)

check out the above link to compare all current editions. I personally have the UK 2 Disc set and I'm satisfied with it.

i have the original korean 2-disc. happy with it, as i have been for over a year...

As the US disc will be by Tartan, like the UK, they should offer the same content.

The earlier Tartan UK release of "A Tale of Two Sisters" did offer a "UK exclusive" interview in, well- the UK, which wasn't ported to the US edition. But I see no such labelled exclusive here, so they should be the same.

Yeah, but the UK Tartan release was a 2 discer and had an extensive making of documentary. Nothing about the US release seems to mention anything like this. I'm thinking they are dumping the second disc of extras. That sucks.
