It also says that all 3 discs have 104 minutes worth of content each....

Which in Battle Royale 2's case, might be an improvement....

But the back cover art it seems is mostly a "work in progress."

I still don't know why I did it, but I placed a pre-order for the set early this morning. I'll post my findings when the set finally arrives. I'm crossing my fingers for English subs on the extras (and better subs on BR in general), but I'm not holding my breath.

My advice for all that haven't seen the movies, save your money on the set and only get the first movie. The second is quite possibly the worst sequel ever made.

i suggest you wait for the UK tin edition of the second movie cos it will be the longer version and it's loaded with extras!

For those who have the boxset, are the special features on the 3rd disc subtitled in Korean AND English?

Mine arrived today, and I unfortunately can confirm that the boxset does *not* have English subtitles on the extras.

However, BR is *full bitrate* DTS! BRII is half-bitrate DTS.

On a personal note-- wow, I've actually contributed useful info to dvdtalk now

Can you also tell me if the English subs for BRI have been fixed or are they carried over from the previous release?

So any word on this? I thought both films were 1.85:1?

The Beaver (http://www.dvdbeaver.com/film/dvdcom...eroyale-dc.htm) says that all previous releases of BRirector's Cut have been framed to 1.78:1. I had never noticed this and it seems a bit odd considering the theatrical cut was released as 1.85:1.

I'm *trying* to do a screenshot analysis on it this evening, but my capturing skills on a computer are pretty rotten. To make matters worse, I've screwed up my Panny's geometry so my overscan is rank.

As for the subtitle issue, from what I've seen they're the same "demn" (har har) subtitles from the Starmax version. The basketball flashback's subtitles still say they're taking the day off blah blah blah.

Well, at least the blue packaging is neat.

Thanks, Nathan. Still debating if I should pick this up.
