does anyone know if or when there is going to be a region 1 release of this movie? I thought i read it here that there was going to be one but i couldn't find it with the search function

Dreamworks bought the rights to this movie. I don't know if they are releasing it theatrically but I wouldn't expect a lot on the R1 version.

hurry up and pick up the limited Steel Book edition from UK! it has most of the extras in the japanese ultimate 3-disc set AND the extras are subtitled.
