Really? It's by Panmedia. I've never known HKflix to sell bootlegs, either. I've been looking for this movie forever, and have been very careful to buy a legit copy. If it's new I don't think asiandvdguide would have it yet.
Panmedia is definately a bootleg "company". Just look at the Shaw Brothers releases they put out. They rip the video from the Hong Kong discs and add an English dub.

Tony @ Exploited is a great guy. You will be pleasantly surprised in the email communication and priority 'cheap' flat-rate shipping.

Post here once happy w/ Xploited. I've ordered alot from them!

Thanks, Bokasmo. To be honest, I did do some research on Xploited before ordering and everything weighed in their favor. Though, added reassurance never hurts

Yeah .. I couldn't get over the shipping cost. Obviously with that flat rate priority service, they will make out on those that only order 1 or 2 films. But, I ended up with four DVDs + the Kill Bill set and while adding one after another to the order, I was surprised to see that the shipping did not increase at all. Pretty cool.

Btw - great collection!! Nice array of LE releases.. and I'm extremely jealous of your R3 4 Disk Oldboy set. One of the best packaging designs that I've seen out there. Nice acquisition.

TY! Been collecting a very LONG time. Most of my collection has been R1's, but the LE market is blooming in the past 12 months, so...I went w/ it.

That Oldboy set is very nice. You can buy one of these here ---> DVD - Oldboy LE (4disc)

They got a 6-disc version for like $250+ shipping. Didn't even know a 6-disc version existed!

recently picked up the cinexus r3 trigun complete set from dvddetective... after i purchased it i seen a few things suggesting it may be a bootleg and others saying it isn't.

all i can say is the packaging is really nice.. very awesome black backround with bullets falling so i was pleased with that.

cinexus seems like a reliable company so as long as im happy with it all that matters.

It's probably the 4-disk UE and the 2-disk SE that came out earlier that year. The designs are the same and was probably designed to be one collection.

Thanks for info.

After looking over their LE/Boxset selection, I'm already somewhat skeptical of their site though. For instance ... Nabi 2 Disc Le, Save The Green Planet LE, Arahran LE and Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance SE have all been OOP for some time now, and these guys have each of these as available. I won't even go into what I think about their pricing ... outrageous!! Heh. No biggie. But I can't believe they're serious about $130 for the R2 LE Kill Bill vol II set for instance. I can find that baby on two other sites for almost half that.

That said, they are still are in contention in the event that I can't find the same titles elsewhere. I'll at least give them a chance if it's woth it. Great selection though!! .. at least to see what's available

The Oldboy seems to be closest to a fair price for $149.

Some of their other sets are eye-gouge prices.

I just picked up Arahan off US soil on Ebay for about $70 delivered.

Keep checking Ebay. This LE boom is creating more and more sellers of this stuff there...

From Yesasia:

Nobody Knows (R3, 2-disc)
Eyes Wide Shut (R3)

Haven't ordered much lately; seems like a slow period for the overseas stuff, although pro-bassoonist's list had some things that caught my eye.

I second that. I love xploitedcinema.com. Tony is a nice guy who quickly emails you back with answers to your questions. They have a great selection and the flat rate priority shipping is great too. They will be getting the 1900 import soon too according to Tony...

From amazon.co.uk:

Eyes Wide Shut (R2)
"My name is Joe" and "Bread & Roses" (2 disc R2 set. Great deal for this pair. Total of $22.97 CAN including delivery)

Out of curiosity, why did others choose R3 Eyes Wide Shut? Is it because it's NTSC?

Where did you get the R-Point LE? Was it an online retailer because I can't find it anywhere in stock.

Before Sunrise/Before Sunset - R2 Warner's 2-disc digipack

Fire Walk With Me/Pretty as a Picture - R2 2-disc (<-I assumed this was a direct port of the R1 "Fire" - purchased it because I could get "Pretty" for about the same price that it sells for alone in the US - but it seems the transfer for "Fire" is a tad different. Very brief first impressions suggest that the Korean release has slightly more saturated colors, but a good A:B comparison has not been made. I was very surprised to discover any difference at all)
