I would go with the Oppo, quite simply, because it has superior hardware. While the Farjouda upscaling chipset has its flaws, it is still one of the most capable chipsets short of the Realta($5000).
The MediaTek is a excellent chipset with a blazingly fast reaction time and layer change. With the new firmware update, the player is as close to perfect as any player can get.
As I know, the primary Momitsu Dealer dropped the V880 in favor of the Oppo, which seems to be superior. The support from Oppo is excellent, as they listen carefully to customer demands and provided personal support, not canned responses used by many other corporations.
As for the Momitsu, the Sigma chipset within it simply cannot match the speed of the Oppo's MediaTek chipset, nor the deinterlacing quality/power of the Farjouda chipset, which is often used on high end dvd players such as the Denon 2910($600)
