Taegukgi
Has anyone seen the R2 Japanese or R1 version of Taegukgi?? I rented the R3 Korean LE and R3 HK DTS version and came to this conclusion:
Best Picture: no contest-R3 Korean , BUT the DD sound is weak and the movie is spread over two discs
Best Sound: no contest-R3 HK, the DTS ES is awesome but the picture is noticeable inferior when comparing the two versions side by side (not that the picture is horrible)
I'm guessing the R2 Japanese is probably close to the R3 HK for picture and sound, and the R1 similar to the R3 HK for picture and R3 Korean for sound...
So, any thoughts if my post doesn't confuse the hell out of you??

The picture looks better on R2 Japan release.
The subtitles are better on the R3 Korean version.
I haven't watched them in a while, but that's the impression I was left with.
As for sound I don't have a home theater setup so I can't judge it.
For the price I prefer the R3 Korean.

I didn't find the R3 Korean sound weak at all. In fact my downstairs neighbor was banging on the ceiling and that rarely happens.

Ditto here. I found the DD track on the Korean release amazing, as far as DD tracks go. The range is great and all the sounds are clear.
I have the Japanese LE but haven't watched it yet.

Thank for all of the opinions... keep them coming! I'm now leaning towards the Korean LE. Maybe I'll check out the DD track again. I guess I just spoiled myself listening to the DTS ES version...
